Madrid to Santiago de Compostela
Greetings all
While travelling from Camponaraya to Cacabelos I stumbled this nice little park area with benches and a BBQ area, right past the Wine factory and next to a Car Wash and Gas Station. In there I found a Pilgrim in serious need of help. His name is Pedro and he is living on a tent with his two dogs, Arco y Flecha (Bow & Arrow). He left Prague last April and got stuck there. He is living off of nuts and mushroms he said. He is wearing sandals and no shoes or socks and hurt feet. I gave him some food money and told him to try to reach an albergue somewhere so he could get some help and maybe even a job. Someone was kind enough of sending me some funds to continue my route to Compostela yesterday and she said I should 'Pay it Forward' so I did. I tried my best to give him advice and money even tho i dont have much with me. He has no phone.. sold it for food. he has been csmping there for a while. IF ANYONE IS CROSSING THAT AREA SOON please consider gelping him out and tell him Pablo says hello! :)

I post some pics of the place, location in the map and his doggies.

God Bless All

Buen Camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I don´t think either detail is important. It is up to each individual to make their own choice and judgement, and in any case, rule#3 precludes this discussion. Any post that does discuss this point will be deleted.
I think @pablovergara has brought this to the attention of this forum and I would respectfully question why any further discussion is necessary or what it will achieve..

Are you sure he is a pilgrim? He’s from Prague?
Yes his dogs had the seashell on their necklaces.. also he said he did the Camino with his father when he was only 10 and he later died or cancer, so it was kinda his farewell to his son.. how sad yet beautiful. My father just died and.. I wish I did the Camino with him... :(
