Greetings!

Ive been fighting the urge to make this post.. I go 'ill find a way.. no need to do this..' but as a precaution, I'm doing it!

This would be my day 41 (started in Sept 29th in Madrid) or week 6 of my Camino.. today I am in Ponferrada Leon and im going slower that the others because ive been walking with a busted ankle that tends to 'explode' in ravaging pain after I dare to walk past KM 15.. oh and also, I stayed in a Monastery with the Monks in Segovia for a full week, which was onw the most incredible experiences of my life...

A little about me and my experience in the camino:
At the beginning I was nervous and reluctant to believe that walking for days would be something that I would really enjoy.. I've never been a fan of walking (until now). I work in the Entertainment Industry and have been very busy with my music and film careers for a couple of decades. Before I came here I had a major break in the TV and life was good, I was fullfilled as an artist and enjoying the fruits of my hard labor, and just like that one day I woke up to a catastrophic phone call that my father had passed away, and that marked the beginning or what ive decided to call 'THE BIG FALL' a series of domino effect horrible events hit me right after that and FFW a couple of years later and Im in the verge of death. Problems in all levels of my personal and professional life, a suicide and a nasty custody battle to save my son from abusers in South Africa (still pending) and I saw myself shattered and drowning...

One fateful day with tears in my eyes I kneeled down before The Lord in my pool back home, feeling the weight lf the world on my shoulders and I screamed at him 'GOD! Starting tomorrow.. everything that comes my way I will know it is YOU taking me where I need to go,in order to save my life. Hágase a tu Voluntad! I will follow your lead wherever you take me!'

That Same next day I heard of The Camino and the next day I got a miraculous money gift (this doesn't happen too often) and the next day I had a plane ticket from Calidornia to Madrid... and almost like synergy, every little thing, decision and path ive taken has brought me here, to my destiny and to my salvation. And I know behind it all is GOD. I arrived a lost and broken man, a troubled soul, worn out and tired and today I've walked close to 400km,something I could never even dare to dream I could do and ive found peace and have reconnected with God in a way I've never had before..

I feel energized, healthier, more focused and at peace, finally.. after having tasted the flames of Hell and suffered the greatest pains. I am saved. But just as any long journey is expected to have setbacks and complications, today I find myself writing this essay to tell my tale and to reach out to all my pilgrim family out there that may find inspiration or connection with my story. I came here alone with very limited resources and with a calling that motivated me to find salvation, Ive made it this far but today I've ran out of funds to continue ahead. I heard from some replies on previous posts of mine some people mentioned that there were incidents like mine where some other pilgrims would get together to back the ones in need.

I am throwing this coin in the air not knowing what to expect or if this will even make any difference, but I thought to give it a try.

GOD BLESS Y
BUEN CAMINO!!!

Thank you very much for your attention and time you took to read my story.

(I attach proof of my medical order and some cool pics of my journey I hope you enjoy them!)

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Just to wish you all the best. Sure folks will help on here. I think you can stay in donativos free if you don’t have any funds if I understand correctly, and I assume folks will help with food. Someone will be able to clarify.

This is beautiful, thank you so much for posting

Allow yourself to take your time, with your injured ankle it can't be easy - but sometimes there's a reason you need to slow down. I also see from your previous posts that you're the one with all the trouble with hospitaleros (I only read one of those posts....), so it seems like you're really going through something. and do need to slow down, physically and metaphorically.

I'm hesitating about this, it might be a scam or you might really be in trouble, but if you're still in need of financial assistance, please DM so we can see if there's some way I can help. I don't do Venmo or other payment apps, but in the spirit of the Camino I'm willing to try to find a way to help you in some way.

Even if we can't make it work, Buen Camino

I would also suggest posting this on reddit, in the Camino de Santiago subreddit: there is quite a different side to the pilgrim environment there, different sensibility and also much younger demographic than here. I walked with many young pilgrims who used to buy 50 cents baguettes and 1 euro salchichas every day (because chorizo is 3 times more expensive than salchichas) and still got to Santiago. But I can't see them posting on this forum often.

Hi CTLawGal
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. I have sent you a DM.

Having seen your other recent posts, I hesitate to reply because there is nothing for it. From the very start of your Camino you have posted constantly: about not knowing how to get from A to B or find an albergue. People helped. Then you wanted "cheap or free" albergues. People guided you. Then you posted several times with frankly odd stories of horrible hospitaleros who had it in for you, even while not paying full price for your stay. You attacked anyone suggesting you look inward as you were the common denominator in these scenarios. Another forum member apparently looked you up and pointed out your history which seems to include go-fund-me-ing to raise money for European travel; for helping your band SLITWRIST produce a record; to pay for production of your "multi-award-winning" movie NECROMURDER, which saw other actors go unpaid. Cursory Google/forum search shows you filming your way across Spain on a supposedly broken ankle for which no Dr. would merely prescribe ibuprofen and Voltaren gel. You seem to have arrived unprepared and without funds, have bitched and moaned on here ever since about those trying to help you, and now you expect those very people to give you money. Good luck and Buen Camino. Moderators, feel free to delete this if inappropriate. I was concerned as one person suggested, it could just be a scam.

This not a scam and your post is totally biased and made to make me look under a bad light, and why? You are a bitter person with a lack of compassion. You should find a better hobby than to troll people and spread false information. Some people actually do care and God Bless the world has the other type and not just haters.

Moderators should erase her msg from my thread.

Thanks
