I'm considering doing the Camino de Levante de Caravaca de la Cruz next year, from Orihuela to Caravaca de la Cruz.

Has anyone done it recently? It would be helpful to know what the accommodation situation is like, in particular.

I have very recently completed this Camino, starting in Orihuela and ending at Caravaca de la Cruz, a route which I highly recommend. My intention is to write up about the experience and post that on this forum. As for accomodation along the way, this is not a route that has albergues in the same way that can be found along some of the Caminos that lead to SdeC. There are places to stay that are at the budget end, as well as quality accommodation that is not at an eye-watering cost. If you are able to wait till after this weekend, hope to have written up my experience.

You can’t get much more up to date than to follow @alansykes’ thread. He is currently walking the Caminos of Caravaca and San Juan de la Cruz.

Accommodation is a bit of an issue on this route in my experience. I live in Murcia and for example you can only stay at some of the Northern hostels if you are in a group of 12. There are almost no hostels so you will be staying mostly in hotels. This is expensive.
