Future Camino

So my blessing and I ( okay my) intent is between my 70th BD( 9/25) and before or NLT my 71st( 9/26) I want to do SJPDP to Muxia to Finisterre. God, Tracey ( My Blessing) and the body willing.
We finished the Frances 9/27/24.

What’s the total distance? Best time of years? Other suggestions, recommendations observations? We plan on going the Invierno to bypass the Sarria congestion.

My recommendation is to go to Finisterre first and then Muxia. Celebrate in Finisterre and contemplate in Muxia.

Since you just completed a fall Camino, why not make your next in the spring to enjoy it from a different perspective? Start SJPDP in April after most risk of snow is over, then enjoy the Camino as it bursts into whatever bloom it will have and the lengthening daylight as you approach the vernal equinox.

And I also second Rick of Rick and Peg to go to Finisterre first, celebrate there (maybe even stay an extra day) and take two days to walk to Muxia, savoring all that you have accomplished.

God willing it all works out for you however you plan to do it. I turn 66 in a couple of months, you inspire to keep going for as long as I can! Buen Camino!

My 2015 Brierley guide gives the distance of the Camino Francés as 776 km and I figured 207 km from Ponferrada to SdC so 569 km from SJPdP to Ponferrada.
