How to get to the Santiago bus station since taxis won’t reserve for this.

I’m being told I have to walk to the bus station from my hotel. Lux hotel as the taxis will not reserve to the bus station but only to the airport. Reason I’m asking is that my case is heavy and rain is showing. Any help?

Linea 6A is the busservice to the Bus/ Trainstations.

I see your hotel is only a twelve minutes walk to the busstation.

I would just call a cab direct.

To clarify, you are trying to get to the SANTIAGO bus station from Hotel Lux? It’s 3.5 blocks…downhill…. Unless you wave down an empty taxi driving by, it’s highly doubtful one will go out of its way to pick you up. But in the time you’d spend on the street corner in the rain searching for one, you could simply spend the 7 minutes walking to the bus station. Unless you are severely disabled and cannot walk on your own or willing to pay a massive premium for the 2 minute taxi ride, walking is probably your only option.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Walked 14 mins from Hotel (Rua da Troia) behind the cathedral to trainstation on 30th July '23!

Then you can inform yourself at a taxi rank? There is one at Alameda/ direction San Clemente.
Busstop also at Praza Galicia.
Thanks I was told they most likely won’t come to the stand. And that the bus goes all over. It’s. Ok. Thank you🙏

Like I said. Very heavy suitcases travelling to 3 different countries and climates. Stiring in Porto. It’s difficult for me and especially if it’s raining tomorrow.

In your OP you mention case and not different cases. Therefore my assumption you could manage a short walk or public transport.
It can be helpful to be somewhat more specific when asking for advise here.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I don’t know, just ask your hotel to call for a taxi to take you to the airport if you can’t walk with heavy suitcases?
She is looking for a taxi to the bus station, not the airport. Her hotel is only a few blocks away, hence the concern that a taxi wouldn’t want that fare.

I've used B.com to book taxis before (other booking sites are available). Seems if booked for today the cost will be €31.00 - same price as going to the airport.
