If you are planning to start a Camino in October 2024, you are invited to add a post to this thread – scroll down to the last post, and create a new post giving your expected start date, start location, and the route if it is not the Francés. It is very helpful if you post in the following exact format (but not in bold or red):

April xx @forumname (City, Route if not Francés).

Moderators will edit this first post to update the list. We will delete new posts regularly, after the list is updated, to keep the thread compact and easier to update. Post again if you see mistakes or omissions. (If you want to change your date, please tell us the old date as well as the new one so we don't need to hunt for it!)

This thread is intended only for updating the list of planned starts, so further discussion of plans, preparations, ride shares, etc., should be done on other threads or private Conversation.

DO NOT USE THE "REPLY" BUTTON
, which creates a quote. Do not try to edit the list on a quote. Instead, go to the bottom of the thread (where the box for "Post reply" appears before the photos) and add a new post with the information.

Don't add emojis to your posts, since moderators use emojis to signal to each other that the post has been taken care of.

All the monthly threads are pinned to the top of the "Introduce yourself..." section of the forum here.

It makes things much easier for the moderators to transfer the information to the list above, if people post the following information, in the following order:

April xx @forumname (City, Route if not Francés)

For example,
October 1 @forumname (Pamplona)
or
October 1 @forumname (Ponferrada, Invierno)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
October @forumname (porto, Portuguese Litoral/central)

@forumname (City, Route if not Francés).

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
October @forumname (porto, Portuguese Litoral/central)

@forumname (City, Route if not Francés).
Two minor details:
1) We need a day within the month to add it to the Calendar. Otherwise we won't know where to add you and other pilgrims won't know when you are leaving Porto (the point of the exercise).
2) "@forumname" doesn't do much for us. The idea, in your case, is to replace that with @Huxley so that we can just copy and paste.

:)

October 13 @Maija (León - San Salvador)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Could you please delete my name on 1st October - camino portugues. For various reasons, (mainly pets! 🙄) only my husband will be going. Thanks.
