It looks like I can do a Camino 2 weeks in November. Planning, and think I will arrive late in the evening in Madrid. Does anyone have experience/recommandation with a (cheapish and ok) accommodation near the airport before train next day?

A selection of Camino Jewellery
We usually stay at the Villa Barajas, which is a Best Western, modest and usually reasonable, because we like to go to mass at nearby Our Lady of Loreto. This gives us a good nights rest after so much traveling.

But for some reason, the price is almost 3x normal right now-- don't know why.

Years ago, we stayed a couple times at the Tach, which was very nice and had a free airport shuttle. But then all of a sudden their price quadrupled and stayed that way for years, at least when we were looking. Only lately it has come down but fluctuates a lot.

All the prices over by the airport are pretty high right now for some reason.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Maybe conferences or some events? I notice prices fluctuate, too.

AP Hotel 6 km from the airport. Also they have a shuttle service

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Hostal Viky in Barajas they have a free shuttle from the airport.

Thanks for all the suggestions, it's valuable to me because some of these are not on the booking sites I know of. Sorry, now I see the question has been asked a thousand times before, but I can't get to the search function..

Hostal T4 has always been my Madrid airport go-to hotel. They also offer shuttle service and always had a good stay there.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19

I found a hotel INSIDE the Madrid Airport ( I will be staying there the night before I fly back home). Called Hello Sky Air Rooms.
