Time of past OR future Camino
Spring 2024
Tomorrow morning my wife and I begin our first Camino. We have been in Ferrol since yesterday and are itching to get started.

I am a little nervous because we’ve never done anything like this before. Ive prepared us as much as I could without taking the enjoyment out of it.

Thanks to everyone who has given me any advice from your own experience. We are looking forward to following in the footsteps of the thousands of pilgrims who have walked this path before us .

Your current outlook is a positive and realistic one; you will do well, regardless. And if you were not a little nervous, it would be rather unnatural. Godspeed. Chuck

We've been back 3 weeks now and have barely had time to breathe!

Walking a Camino is one of the best things we've ever done. I'm not religious or spiritual in any way but thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the little churches along the way and personally, walking into the Cathedral square I felt quite emotional. I didn't do this for my father (who passed away 5 years ago) but the idea of just doing what I wanted because you never know when your time is up came directly from him. Also my brother who is only a few years older than me has developed some health problems which will prevent him from doing anything like this and he was the adventurer in our family, so I kinda did it for him too.

All in all it was an incredible experience and we 100% plan on doing another one, probably the one from Porto as it fits in time wise with our life style.

Thank you all so much for your advice since joining here, I am in the middle of creating a little video slideshow and blog entry which I'll be sure to post here once done.

Buen Camino!
