I will be leaving in a week, and I would like to get a feel for how busy is the start of the Camino Frances? Are albergues really busy? Thanks

Hi @Normac

The forum has a feature whereby you can create specific questions without alternative answeres, and conduct a survey. Since this is an open-ended question, I have removed the prefix "Poll" from the thread title.

Rather than having multiple threads active on the same topic, I will close this thread and refer you to the following recent threads.

If you still have questions, you could post on one of those threads.

Typically the first two weeks of September are some of the busiest of the year for pilgrims starting from St Jean Pied de Port, but numbers do go down after that. So what happened last week may not be so relevant to when you start.
(I snuck this post in while @C clearly was writing her post 😉)

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
