Hola Peregrinos : On the camino again doing it differently! My friend and I come into Valença 17 Sept. Need a place for that evening before we start on the central route to the Compostela. Thank you for any info.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
In Valenca do Minho you can get a Credencial in the pilgrim albergue Sao Teotonio. See their address and more here. This link is from Gronze and lists all accommodation in Valenca do Minho

After the albergue walking north towards Tui on the camino from Valenca do Minho, which was the old frontier, you pass through a spendid a 17thc fortress and then cross the river Minho on the 19th c International bridge designed by the firm of Eiffel. Within the fortress the camino passes through the garden of the pousada/hotel Sao Teotonio. Stop at their outdoor bar to sip a coffee or more, relax and admire that panoramic view.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you for your help. Does the train station have baggage storage?Gracias

I have never been inside that station.
December 2011 after completing my 7th CF and continuing to Finisterre I then walked to the Portuguese border at Tui/Valença do Minho to join my husband, for a holiday. This involved going backward down the Camino Portuguese from Santiago and not up the CP to Santiago.

Good luck with your planning.
However/wherever you do go Buen camino!

Also in Tui, I have stayed at Jacob's Hostel a couple of times. I like it because it is close to the main square with its restaurants, a grocery store for energy food, and it's right on the Camino.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Casa da Barca on the camino just as you enter Tui.

It is actually quite nice to stay in Valenca over night and then you can walk across the bridge into Tui at sunrise. Because I wanted to see both towns, walked into Valenca, stayed the night at Hostal Bulwark which was lovely, got fantastic sunset photos from the fortress walls, then walked across to Tui in the morning. Stayed there at Albergue de Convento which is right on the Camino. Nice albergue with friendly hosts and lots of atmosphere in the old convent.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Residential Porta do Sol has wonderful private rooms, some overlooking the street in Valenca. If it is still the same owner, he was a Camino angel to me when I left behind a pair of shoes only discovering the loss on arrival in Redondela. Phoned to ask if he could put them in a taxi to the place I was staying & I would wait & pay the driver on arrival but he insisted on driving himself from Valencia, handed over my shoes & when I asked how much I owed him his response was the equivalent of ‘are you loco ?’ I shared the room with another peregrina & it was great to explore the fortifications & cross over the bridge into Spain at dawn the next morning.
