A Camino song, my first professional release... with an artist from Germany

Time of past OR future Camino
See signature.
So I walked into work as a Sr. Digital Marketing Director for a major company in the USA one Monday in October 2019 and got axed after 20 years. Since then all I've done is hike like 16 caminos and write songs. I'm currently 2000+ km into the PCT on the west coast of the USA.

In 2022 I met an artist while on the Norte. She is from Germany. She liked a song I wrote about our Camino, and life in general. She released it recently. Here is the video...

Memories Stay

Sometimes it shined so bright
Everything felt warm and right
And sometimes the clouds were grey
When you had to go away

All the times we woke up late
The two of us just tempting fate
Always had you by my side
Even on the darkest night

C) Memories will get me through
Until I get back to you
Memories won't fade away
I'll think about the good old days.

You kept me dry in the rain
Providing shelter from the pain
Added spice when life was bland
Walked together hand in hand

The day you left I cried inside
I couldn't say it, couldn’t lose my pride
You set me free, it’s bitter-sweet
If you were here I’m at your feet

Repeat chorus

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Such a beautiful song, Damien - your lyrics, Coco’s voice and the music. The artistry aspect is stunning - particularly the colour palette and the expertise shown by the artist. Congratulations.

Memories really do get us through. Thank you for the reminder of that.

Cheers from Oz -
Jenny
