Camino Del Norte August 2024
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to get from Bilbao to San Sebastian when I arrive at the airport? I am hiking the Camino del Norte all of August and am trying to get the details in order :). Thank you.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
There is a bus from the airport to SS, but I do not know the schedule or cost.

One spot left (female, shared room) on the Catalina Island hike. Sign up by Sept 17
Really useful link. I had not realised there were that amount of connections from Bilbao Airport... thanks ☀️
Very easy to navigate also. Once you pass the baggage return and exit the secure part of the airport, make a right turn and proceed to the end. There are a couple of machines there (look like ATMs) to purchase tickets for the next bus (every 15 min after the hour). I used a debit card for my purchase, as it didn't like the first credit card I tried. Once your purchase is complete, the machine prints out a small receipt which is your ticket.

The bus departs from just outside the doors where you buy the ticket. When I did it my bus was already parked there. Bus driver arrived a few minutes before departure and checked everyone's ticket as the boarded. It's open seating.

Edit: Bus only makes one stop (about 15 min outside of San Sebastián) and then proceeds into the city.
