Isn't it strange people do the Frances and have a great walk.

When they get home they look for alternatives and for new and "Better"experiences and walks like the Portuguese or Norte, etc etc its addiction of the best kind.

They have just left a feeling of energy and comradeship fitness which was a unique and rewarding feeling.

To me first Camino is best I have walked the Camino Frances on my own and several times with my brother, had some great times and a some very strange and disturbing ones.

I feel trying to rekindle or recreate past Caminos will end in disappointment I have walked Frances and Muxia only but never regretted any one.

Sometimes "if it's not broke don't try to fix it" is the appropiate metaphor.

Thanks everyone for your supporting response. Three weeks has lapsed since arriving home. It’s all one adventure and it goes on. We are still far from accepting life as it was before Spain.
I will write more but we are very much in catch up.
On top of all we picked up a nasty virus and it is very slow to shake.

I often say that I don't understand people who are unwilling to repeat a Camino route. To me it is like being served a great meal and saying "I loved it! I never want to eat those dishes again." or listening to a great song and saying "What a great song! I never want to hear it again." That strikes me as absurd.

But equally, to me, to say you don't see the point in trying any other routes is like saying "I loved this tortilla de patatas. I will only eat tortilla de patatas for the rest of my life." or "Let It Be is such a great song. I'm removing every other song from my playlists. Just this one song for the rest of my life."

I like repeating old favourite routes. But I also like trying new ones. They also have much to offer.
