The new "Experience" line from Altra looks interesting. Has anybody tried them yet?

I will order a pair of Altra Experience Wild and report back after some day hikes. They have the traditional, comfortable Altra wide footbed with a good stack hike at 32mm with a 4mm drop. I think the drop is new for Altra, both my Lone Peaks and Olympus were zero drop.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

So they were just OK and after a short day hike have been returned.

The footbed not as comfortable as the Lone Peaks and Olympus. The footbed might get more comfortable with some more miles, but more importantly the sizing was off. I wear a 12 in everything except my longer distance hiking shoes I wear a 12.5. I got these Altras in 12.5, but they felt like a 12. I would have to go up another 1/2 size to make it work for a Camino shoe.
