New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Exactly why it’s impossible to tell people if they need sleeping bags vs liners, a heavy coat or a nylon shell, etc. The weather on the CF varies just like weather everywhere and it can be sunny and hit in one area and snowing elsewhere because it’s 800kms long and has variable terrain.

Enjoy your nice warm room - what a treat!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Just had a look at the webcam on the albergue. Snow falling but not much settling on the ground. Looks very windy too. A good day to be indoors!

I spent a night there after riding a horse from Herrerias. I started my ride in freezing rain and arrived during a sleet storm. Snow was being forecast around noon and the pilgrim traffic was at a standstill. I stopped at Meson for a warm bowl of soup, found out there were no places to sleep but fortunately the house across the street accepted my offer to stay overnight. It was cozy but not heated, I found out later that I had displaced a large tabby cat who apparently learned my bed was no longer its domain that night. The cat sat outside on the windowsill and scratched at the window all night long.

Yes! It’s blustery outside right now. It should be good to go tomorrow.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
Hello,
We hiked up O Cebreiro today and it was raining quite heavily , then the rain turned to snow. Thankfully , we’re staying in O Cebreiro tonight in a warm and cozy room getting dried out!
On my first Camino, I also arrived in O Cebreiro in early spring, cold and wet weather and also was happy to spend the night in a warm and cozy room getting dried out. Although back then there was no albergue nor any of the small hotels and casas rurales that fill O Cebreiro these days. Just the Hospederia de San Giraldo de Aurillac, which was full. But they let me lay my sleeping bag down in front of the fireplace in the common room where it was warm and dry.

I hope you let him in!
