And yes, for those who immediately thought of The Proclaimers: Tickets booked: all being well I'll arrive in Spain on 25 August next year and, depending on the jetlag, should start walking from Santo Domingo a day or two later. (Credencial...

Hi, there is no luggage transfer on the camino in winter, so, yes, it will be the cost of a taxi service if you want to have your bag transferred. Express Bourricot are in France – you are in Spain – so they will be the most expensive option...

Welcome, and may your camino be everything you need it to be. There are some things you can do to make things easier on yourself: A good whistle (in case of falls, or if you want to catch the attention of someone nearby for help). A good...

On my last Camino (2023) I noticed that there were lots of tourists. It reminded me of a couple of quotes that I have read since my first Camino (2015) “A tourist demands, a pilgrim is grateful” “Camino is a pilgrimage, not a scenic tour. No...

There were good parts to it, but the destressing part didn't work out at all. At the moment, I'm leaning towards your opinion that something fresh might be good. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!

Like many of my Camino buddies, the years are passing away and while I am not done, I do wonder how many more Caminos are in this 69 year old body. Having walked over 13,000 kilometers on The Camino since that late August day in 2015 when I...
