The disabled have that possibility. Desiring to exclude some pilgrims for health "reasons" that seem mostly to be concerned with one's own personal comfort primarily, seems dodgy from my POV. -

BTW, below is a screenshot from a webcam a few kilometres before Santiago. It is a normal road for motorised traffic and at the same time it is "the Camino". It nicely illustrates how Camino pilgrims walk: all over the place. In the middle of...
