I don’t think we can change people with entrenched prejudices, but I think it’s important to signal when someone crosses the line into misogyny and racism. Bigots need to know that not all people feel the way they do.
I think this writer is addressing a fairly specific group of men, not “all men.” Trying to make these comments about “all men” is a way to dismiss what is being said.
