Hello I noticed your comment about needing GPS on the CPI.
I appreciate it is a less well trodden Camino, which is a large part of its appeal. But I had thought it was well signed as well as having plenty of municipal albergues. TIA.
Most pilgrims just don’t know about the CPI. At best many people think there is just one ‘Portuguese camino’ from Porto with two route options (central/coastal).
To try to create a bit of awareness of other routes in Portugal, I wrote this piece...
So, what am I missing? How is this nothing of our concern? The serious rise of walkers, and yes, this in NOT a myth, is impacting the lives of locals. The fact that you DON'T think that pilgrims should be bothered by this, really ticks me off...
Yes , your current albergue will have an envelope to transport to your required next stop. I paid 5 euro to not carry my pack over the Hospialas route. Well worth it.
A quick update about Javi. I had contact with him yesterday and he confirmed that radiotherapy treatment is now over. I didn't ask anything about his albergue, it wouldn't be appropriate given the circumstances, I instead just messaged cuídate mucho.
