Oravasaari
The Camino (CF 2015 SJPdP to Fistera, then in 2016 Leon to SdC) initially got me back to fitness and I've continued to go "on camino" whenever I can. 2017 CF Logrono-Leon, Salvador Leon-Oviedo, Primitivo Oviedo-SdC) The walking led to running, so now I'm also a half and full marathon runner late in life! I ran/walked from Pamplona to Leon in June 2018 as a test to see if running the whole way (St John to Fistera) would be possible with a 5l running pack (2kg) ...and it is! Went back post-Covid April 2022 to walk Leon to Santiago with Mrs Oravasaari (turns out it's not her thing). March 2023 I the Via de la Plata for 2 weeks Seville-Zamora, then Salamanca to Astorga) then to SdC with an old friend for 12 days. Next up Leon-SdC Oct/Nov 2024 and SJPdP-SdC April 2025.
