I would try a barefoot shoe or boot, I have the Hykes Flex shoes but also want to buy the Hykes Trailmaster, there is a book called Born to Run, its about an old tribe who has been barefoot for years and all the benefits.
I switched to a barefoot shoe and has really helped, took about 3 months to really see the difference but now I can sleep and my feet do not hurt, I used to wakeup with them hurting, now that is gone, good progress so far. I am wearing the Hykes...
