This was a remarkable journey for me. I have been to over 80 countries in the world and have studied tourism as a professor for many years...this was by far my most meaningful journey yet. There was nothing like the Camino. It has been two months since I finished 47 days of walking the Frances (yes I like slow travel) and not a day goes by that I contemplate the serenity I still have and the change in my demeanor. The camino was walked because I decided to leave Lebanon where I was a professor and return to the U.S.. I also decided to quite teaching as a profession. These along with a multitude of other reasons led me to the camino and the camino gave me more than I ever expected. This was my first camino but definitely not the last.
