Great to hear from you. We've walked much of the same route it seems. I have not done the Fisterra-Muxia bit (but I started by walking from Gibraltar to Seville). I'll check your blog out for sure. I plan to walk Almeria to Merida next Spring -...
Happy to compare notes.
Last year I walked.
Sevilla to Astorga on the VdlP. The bit from Granja North was really nice.
Astorga to Ponferrada on the Frances. Crazy busy but fun!
Ponferrada to Santiago on the Invierno. Breathtaking! And...
It's great to see this post and so much useful information. I'm also planning on walking the Mozárabe at roughly the same time next year with my wife. (We plan to start in Almeria, however, and walk to Merida.) Like you @Badgerbag I've also...

- Safety pins are a great suggestion.
Haha, whoops. I forgot to take those...
Personally i'm team Rainjacket+Kilt, but my backpack is waterproof by itself, so getting water in between the cover and the jacket is not an issue for me. For regular packs, i see the merit of having it under a poncho.
Secondly, i never felt the...
