In smaller towns (which is most of them) there will be private accommodations in basically 1 star hostels/posadas/pensiones. Large cities will have 3-5 star accommodations.
Obviously some cities on most routes will have 4 & 5 star hotels, but you'll be struggling to find a route that offers that standard of accommodation every night. Many places you pass through are small and have only a few accommodation options...

I made it to Orisson! Took me 6.5 hrs because we (me and lovely people I met on the way) took our time, rested frequently, but it was very hard and arduous. But I made it, so did they.
