You absolutely do need a reservation, and hopefully it's not already fully booked, as the first week of September is one of the most popular times to start from SJPdP. If you can't get a reservation at Orisson you can try Borda which is about 1...

If Borda and Orisson are fully booked you might try this spot in Honto nearby. Here is their web link from Gronze. A Chrome browser can easily translate the Spanish citation. Good luck and Buen Camino.

I start my camino Frances on september 3rd from SJPDP. I am planning to stop at Orisson. Do i need to make a reservation ? If so, how do i do that?

I wore Hoka trail runners which were not waterproof. The were inundated in the great flood in Pamplona last September and a few other days. The advantage of trail runners is that they dry out quickly (overnight). Just take the liners out at night...
