I have traveled all over Spain, both independently and with student groups. I've used trains, buses, and rental cars. Two years ago, on a rental car trip, I had the opportunity to talk with several pilgrims who were doing the Camino. This, along with the movie, The Way, solidified my desire to do it. Although I walk several miles a day, all of this is on the level carrying nothing on my back. This is obviously quite different from trudging 10-15 miles per day for six weeks. So, I am not sure that I will be up to the task but, as of right now, I plan to give it my best shot.
