LIVE from the Camino K's Primitivo 24

@KariannNor only now I found out that you are from Norway :-D Det er morsomt å lese det du skriver, du har åpenbart en litt annen opplevelse av Primitivo enn den jeg hadde i april-23 :) Hvor langt har du kommet nå? Buen Camino, peregrina!

LIVE from the Camino K's Primitivo 24

Hello! I might be interested in that plan of yours. I did the Primitivo in April last year, followed the stops that gronze.com suggested. I am think of doing it again in a couple of weeks, stopping in other places would be part of the reason to go back. Buen Camino! Cheers.

    Shoes camino primitivo

I did both Frances and Primitivo in trail running shoes. (Salomon Speedcross GTX) I walked in April both times. Very little asphalt on the Primitivo. No reason for trekking boots on either of these routes (IMHO). I always wear trekking socks made of mostly wool. Remember that your feet will...

How many days from Oviedo to Santiago?

No. This is only as far as Melide, you have to add another two days to get to SdC (according to Gronze). So 13 days is the correct answer. I did it in 14 days last year, including a rest day in Logo (that I did not need).

Most Dangerous stage on Camino Frances.?

    This is the correct answer.

    Different because it's shorter

I have done both Frances (from SJPDP) and Primitivo. Totally different in one way, but also similiar. i would not spend much time worrying about what kind of experience it will be, just put one foot in front of the other - and repeat. I am sure that if you walked Frances to years in a row also...

    Next after Camino Frances

First of all, what are you looking for? If you want less pilegrims and harder, but more beautiful stages, walk the Primitivo. You will do it in the 2 weeks incl one restday in Lugo. After reaching SdC, walk on to Finesterre (4 days). And; don´t expect it to be like last year. It might be, but...

    Merino wool shirt

I have had temperatures between -4 and + 35 (c) on my caminos. I always put on a merino wool top closest to my body. Always.

Is the Camino Primitivo more physically challenging than other routes?

Why are you interested in the weather five years ago ;-)
  14. AK2112

    Bourbon and cigars

    This is the correct answer!

Best day to leave Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port ?

Any day without snow on the Napoleon route is a good day to leave SJPdP.
