Hi Diesel
Last October I walked from Samos to Monforte de Lemons. Like yourself, I didn't want to miss O Cebreriro, so I veered off the Frances about a km after Samos. It was about a 35 km walk to Monforte, along quiet lanes and trails and it was...
If you follow Google Maps, walking is around 30k. Seems it's mostly country-lanes, should be quiet enough in this part of Spain...

Hi Roland
I dont remember the name of the church, but the albergue is https://www.caminodesantiago.me/camino-guides/en/accommodations/camino-frances/tosantos/albergue-parroquial-san-francisco-de-asis
Hi Roland
The Parroquial Albergue in Tosantos, about 4 km after Belorado is very special too.
There is a church built into the cliffs just behind the albergue worth visiting even if you don't stop here.
Also to get to Bayonne you can get a train from Paris, or fly into Biarritz, and get the bus from there to Bayonne train station, which costs only a couple of euros.
I’m thinking about doing the Francès next May or June. I will be leaving from Denver Colorado and I’m wondering the best way to get St Jean Pied de Port. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
