  I walked this in September, only a sleeping bag liner is needed. Mine is super-lightweight silk and weighs very little.

  Figeac has good train and bus connections. I’ve walked it twice without a guide book, I found gronze to be sufficient.

  This has been my experience also, I walked this route twice and never had a problem with bedbugs. Also, I only carry a silk sleep sac which is extremely lightweight. It’s always been enough, even in chilly April.
