Lurch replied to the thread Do you attract pilgrims?.
Only one time, by a fellow passenger boarding for a flight, not to Spain. She recognized the patch and mentioned she really wanted to go. Cheered her on. I talk it up with my neighbors, but no takers so far.

Lurch replied to the thread Poles have failed - help!.
You might look in one of the albergues to see if someone left a pair. I stayed in the nunnery, and if I remember correctly (always a risk there), they had a can in the office with items, mine gave out in Rabanal and I picked up one someone else...

And how old are you? I finished the last 200 miles of the Frances in April at 79. Getting into a top bunk is not always that easy!

I was there in April, still that way. Not many pilgrims there, thoughts . I paid an euro more and had a smaller room, larger bed. Turns out I was the only occupant.

Lurch reacted to Pelegrin's post in the thread Civil war memorials with Like Like.
I'm seventy and for me the last civil war is the past. I had two uncles recruited by Franco' s army who controlled Galicia who went to war without knowing what was happening and had " to invade" unknown, hot and sometimes very cold dry...

      Good luck with that.

Dirt, bugs, all the stuff It picked up from when you took it off in bars, restrooms or on some grass.
