  I believe that Easter Sunday is on 20 April this year. The usual "season" starts with the week before Easter - call it 10 calendar days. That includes all of Holy Week / Semana Santa. This is when a lot of folks take time to do a Camino...

  I am seeing a lot of openings on the 1st of April on websites potentional sleeping arrangements. But it can be varying from each establishment.

  Many albergues which are closed over the winter open in time for Semana Santa. The Gronze listing for each albergue usually states when it reopens. Not 100% reliable but a useful guide.

  In the Buen Camino app referring to the Frances it says a number of albergues are 'closed until the start of the season'. When would the start of the season be?

  I completely understand your feelings as I did after my first, next year I’m walking my sixth and plan walking the VDLP. Reach out to the community on U tube there are thousands around who have walked it and planning to do so. You are not alone.
