In a recent post, a 'frequent flyer' Pilgrim mentioned that they would not want to plan on walking an alternative final 100kms on the Camino Frances, as it would mean separating from friends they might make along the way.
That got me thinking...
You could always carry the two, an official one and the homemade one, and get them both stamped along the way.. The pilgrims office will 'close' them both for you and you can collect your compostela with the official one.
Not sure what you mean by "last stage", but even if you are disabled with documentation to demonstrate it, you still need to make your way along the Camino somehow.
Those travelling to Santiago for pilgrimage purposes by taxi are still pilgrims...
I’m just finishing the Camino tomorrow the 21 of November. I walked almost all of the CF, including the last section from Sarria. Does it matter if you don’t get the Compostela the day you walk into Santiago but wait a day or two? November 22...
