I suggest investigating the route from Livinhac-le-Haut to Lectoure. Probably 11 - 14 days depending on your walking capacity. However, if you are a group, I strongly recommend reserving your gites in advance on that route. Bon Chemin!

My favorite gite was Au Plaisir in Condom. Hosts Philippe and Corinne are wonderful. The Abbaye in Conques is also special, and be aware they have private rooms as well as dorm space. Overall, all the gites and chambre d'hotes are welcoming. -

In the UK you would probably get the same response from the local communities or perhaps even worse apart from stealing lettuce! We also have people using disposal barbeques that they leave behind that set our peatlands alight. Our seaside towns...
