I bought a small spray bottle that fits in my pack's belt, and fill it with water. I spritz my shirt and hat and face whenever they've gotten dry from the last spritz. It feels like it cools me down about 5F/3C each time... works great!
Occasionally buy a cold bottle of water and pour it over your head. This will get your head wet, as well as your torso. It really cools you down for a short time. Don't worry that you have the wet look. At least try it once and decide if it works...

Darn tough socks and Issoba tee shirts/ long sleeve tops. Both have served me well over 3 Camino's. Treated myself to new socks every year but tee shirts live on!
