I am on Del Norte now. Because of bad blisters I had to get a taxi part of the way a few times.
First, try Uber. It is available in some places and is 75% of taxi prices. Otherwise local taxis, bus or train as suggested.

Don’t put antiseptic cream on blisters! It makes them softer and multiplies the problems.
On the Del Norte, don’t under plan either. Sometimes accommodation is very difficult and you need to look ahead.

Great news and they are a great device. However if you are walking in isolated areas, you might not have cellphone connectivity. I'll opt for the PLB and shell out the few hundred dollars for it.
I carry a personal locator beacon. It costs a few hundred dollars but guarantees that an international help system jumps into life if it is triggered. Bought one for my daughter when she walked the appellation trail and made everyone feel a lot...
