So, I finished my first Camino.
Ingles was a good choice to start with as it gave me a short insight of how camino life is.
It rained a lot, storm Kirk passed by as well, but it was all managable. No blisters, no back pain from backpack. Day 3...
I just finished Ingles, was in Ordes when Kirk passes by. As said before, laid down cornice, also some tree branches on the road, but appartently no makpr damages.
If it’s warm, yes, walking in shorts is the best imho. I just finished the portuguese central, we has some very rainy days (and it rains today in Santiago) and walking in my skort and sandals, with my altus poncho, has been ideal.
In the end here I am almost en route.
I have chosen for a rain jacket and backpack cover. I do have a rain poncho to put on top.
Sunday forecast looks quite ugly. But it's quite warm as well (should be around 20 in Betanzos).
I do not have any...
So I'd rather get the ticket to Portico, do the visit, then enter the church, hug the saint and get a seat for the mess, correct?
If I get the ticket to Portico at 5PM, would I be all done for 19.30 mess?
I will be in Santiago in 2 weeks..
Pardon my ignorance, but is Portico a part of the Cathedral? I was wondering whether I should get a ticket to Portico, then go with the flow to hug the saint and afterwards sit down for the mess...
Need a similar piece of advice.
Will arrive to SdC around 2pm.
Leaving back home the morning after. Would like to attend 19.30 mess, give a hug to St.James and see Portico of Glory.
How should I organize my cathedral visit to meet these targets?
