Very much agree with "Flog" - seeing a podiatrist is a must. I've suffered from similar issues, and if you plow ahead with your trek, you'll regret it on so many levels. Your feet are like the tires of a car; it can't run if one of the tires...
I appreciate your post...I've been trekking various caminos in Europe for well over a decade as a way to enter into that place of solitude that we "introverts" desire, and walking the French route between now and late September is not the place...
