Walking - macabi skirt

Walking the CF in 2013 in my very comfy Macabi skirt
I also wore a Macabi Skirt over some very comfy and of course sexy black merino Long Johns ...... I wore my skirt in the raised position while hiking , then Un-clipped it and let it fall down to the long position while relaxing on the side of the trail ...... When I grew tired of that I turned it into a funky pair of ballooning pants. I was sooooo comfortable , but I must say the Best Feature of that Skirt ....????... I was literally walking with a built in Outhouse , No Bare Backside on the side of the trail when I just couldn't quite make it to the next town ...... Oh , and my pockets! .... I honestly carried one bottle of Orange Juice , half a Cheese Bun , a Banana , My Map Book , My Camera , and sometimes a bit of Chocolate ...... OK , always a bit of chocolate ..... My Passport and Wallet stayed inside the Hidden Pocket ...... The trick was to Empty My Pockets BEFORE undoing my Backpack .......

@tiregirl haha, I also did the sexy black merino long johns under the skirt look. Yes the skirt is incredibly comfy for walking in and as you say so versatile! And, yes those pockets are incredible - I could easily fit a 750ml bottle of water in there, my guide book and like you my passport and wallet in the hidden pocket. I had a look recently at the Macabi website as they now do a knee length skirt but sadly the shipping from the USA is $48.50 on top of the $59.95 for the skirt! Happily there is plenty of life left in my long one

Best thing I took on the Camino ... comfortable, and yes ... those pockets are great !
