Nice picture but it was driving me nuts. I remembered the spot but not its location. I've found it though. It is where the Camino Frances crosses the Rio Porma to enter Puente Villarente. That is 6 km west of Mansilla de las Mulas and 12 km east of Leon. The map at the link below shows the location but not the new pedestrian bridge. That bridge can be seen though with a little playing around with Google's Street View.
Excited to see green on the meseta!!! Hope it stays that way for another 2 weeks. We get green in my zip code for only a fleeting moment before it gets brown for the rest of the year.

You are correct Rick - the bridge was built many years ago when the river had a lot more flow. I think when we crossed in May only two or three spans had water, the rest of the spans have been filled in - by flood or man ??
