I spent a WONDERFUL night at El Gabino in early November 2015, and loved the heavy warm blankets, along with the circular upstairs arrangement of the very cosy albergue. What I loved about this place is the "we trust you" attitude of the family. We walked in, had some tea, then just waited for the owner. He was very kind, and helpful without being bossy----you know what I mean : )

@Dennis D It sure could happen! I am mixed on whether to do a walk next year, having just gotten back from the Scotland walk ---The West Highland Way. Feeling particularly broke!
