I passed these too back in May and christened them ' smurf' trees. Am sure that's not their official name. Would love to know what they are called, so unusual and memorable.

@amancio - I investigated the possibility of it being dyed. The surrounding ground and plants were not discolored and the blue did not rub off onto my hands.

I posted with the hope someone would be able to identify but so far nothing. I guess I have to up my Spanish game and go back.
