I did my first Camino in 2008 and was only able to do 10 days and got a sick with a terrible chest cold and had to return home. Yet the next year I returned and started in Burgos where I had stopped. 2010 started in Lourdes France and finished in Compostela. 2011 I did the Camino del Notre, 2012 Camino de la Plata, 2014 Frances again. This year Camino del Norte giving myself 44 days. The Camino is an awesome experience there is something that draws us back again and again.
@nalod greetings enjoyed your photos, but I must make a correction. The photo of the Sacred Heart calendar and portrait you say is JFK is incorrect. It is a photo of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain.
@nathanael Thank you natanael. Yes I knew it was the King and Queen of Spain. I think my title might have been shades of JFK. I am Irish an when I was growing up many households in the Country had a photograph of the Sacred Heart beside a photo of JFK, these two images were very popular side by side. I will admit that if you were not Irish or American you would not have got the connection, my apologies. When I saw the image of the King and Queen of Spain and the Sacred Heart it reminded me of those images from my childhood.
This is an old post and unfortunately I have since closed Camino Gallery for financial reasons. If you click on the blogspot link you will be able to see many photos. Regards Dermot
