Ah - the hobbit houses!! My walking companion loved them and wished that they could have been converted into an albergue - great for keeping cool in summer and warm in winter??!!
 
They are bodegas I believe, for storing aging wine
Hola , yes understand that that was their purpose, but I doubt they have had wine stored in them in many years. (I will check with Reb). My Danish Camino Daughter just loved them and thought that they should have been still used. Cheers

I went into one that had been partially converted to a cafe. They let us go in and check out other parts of it.
