Afraid to go alone?

Highest point on the Pyrenees along the Napoleon Route in the fall of 2013.
Nice story. Women needn't be afraid to walk alone, it's very safe. You're never really alone on the Camino, there are always people there if you want to have company for a while. I'm off in two days to start my 2nd Camino, alone. So excited!!

Hello Tania,
is there any artical that related to this image? because i can't see it.
thank's
Ornit.

Hi Tania - We met a couple of times along the way in Sep-Oct 2013, but I've only just come across your lovely photos and mymeseta.com. What a great story, thanks for sharing it.
It looks like you too have the walking bug now. Last year I went back to walk the Primitivo with a group of ffriends I met on the Frances in 2013, and in Oct-Nov this year, I'll do the Del Norte.
Regards and best wishes, Brett

I'll be going--alone!--on my third Camino in about three weeks. I strongly, strongly recommend a solo journey. If you have a partner that you are very, very comfortable with--that's fine too. Solo Camino is a gift to your own soul!

@CaminoDebrita I'm going for my third camino in two weeks. The first two I went solo, this time my daughter is coming with me. Walking alone is wonderful! Buen camino!

thanks for sharing your story Tania. I’m also planning to walk the Frances route on my own from 1 April next year. There are some journeys in life we have to tackle by ourselves, and the Camino is such a journey for me!

I was terrified to do my first "solo" Camino Frances in 2015 but a part of me knew from previous travel, when you are solo, you are never really alone unless you want to be. You will have the best of it all, freedom to decide what works for you, and new friends from all walks of life that you won't want to part with. "Solo" is a misnomer, to me. On the Camino, you are one person of many, all together in a shared experience, its okay to feel scared of being alone but I found it nearly impossible to actually be alone. I was perhaps, anonymous, especially in the larger cities and that was when I felt the most alone but inevitably you find a familiar face or reach out to your Camino friends and reunite;)

I walked the Frances solo in April-May 2018, but I was never really ALONE, even on days I wanted to be. I came home with about a dozen new lifelong friends scattered about the globe.
