The first day on the road from SJPDP to Santiago. Each day got better
WOW!o_O. I crossed on 27 May 2011 and it was hot, lush greenery everywhere, not a hint of snow anywhere. Shocked at this image.

@koilife I will never forget the sight of you and your dad taking shelter with us under a tree. It was the start of a great Camino friendship

Actually, my avatar is Kaleb's pic, but Matt's account. I got to the end of the camino and realized I had no pics with me in them. I hope all is well for you and Mary, and for Austin and Pauline. Kaleb says Hi too. All our love (and a pint (or three)) from Colorado!

P.S. Our best memories . . . meeting you four under the tree while it hailed, the dinner we shared on the night of Monica's and my anniversary, and finally finding you in Santiago for one last pint.

WOW!! I walked across on May 28, 2012 and it was hotter than blazes. Not a bit of snow to be seen. I don't think I would have ben prepared had I come across this!

@MoniRose The day after this day, the Route Napoleon was closed because of blizzard conditions. One person lost their life and a bunch had to be rescued. We saw the pictures front page on the newspaper in Pamplona.

I will always have a picture of two figures approaching our tree, one with an umbrella on his head, and asking if they could share our shelter. Under such circumstances true Camino Friendships are formed. Great to read your comments Matt.

I think you guys should post the picture from Pamplona of Colin posing with the Guardia Civil in their riot gear and tell the story. Priceless!
