@Peter Aulbury Flying out to Santiago in the morning and are even more excited after watching your memories, thank you for being inspirational.....wish we'd been lucky enough to have been in your 'Camino Family'.
We were blessed with perfect weather, and no problems save for the blisters that I got as a result of a foolish decision on my part. In addition, we have the advantage of living in the North Georgia mountains near the A.T. and endured 6 months of training before we left. My 64 YO body needed that! We took no rest days, left St Jean at 1PM on June 17th and arrived in Santiago at 9:30 on July 18th. The last 200k, we slowed down and followed Brieley's steps because we were ahead of schedule. Once again, great video. I have to say, I cried when I watched it and would be back doing it again if my wife were retired like me!
@mtman100 Thanks for your comments mtmann100, my Camino family is scattered all over the world, Ireland, USA and Canada. I'm down under in Australia and miss them all very much, however I too like watching it and remembering those great times.
