There does not have to be any beach.....My son and I got chatting and we somehow ended up on the beach, but not more
than 100m or so.

My wife and I plan to walk from Porto to Santiago starting end of May beginning of June.

I walked in 2012. I didn't think the coastal route was marked back then. Sorry I walked from Lisbon via Fatima ha ha
