partly true - 17.8 km without a house, water,( coffee !!!!)... between Calzadilla de los Hermanillas and Reliegos. But if it is not really hot, is pure meditation-and pleasure when you finally get to the water, coffee, shade, food
My camino partner and I walked this path, it was very empty. I think we had 4 companions on the 'Del Coto to Hermanillos section; but from there to Reliegos we had just one fellow traveller. It was very warm towards the end of the trail, plus we ran short of water - despite having two bottles each. There is virtually no shelter so if you are walking it in July/August start early. (BTW We walked from Sahagun to Reliegos in one day - nearly 8 hours, last week in May 2017)
