Hello,

Does anyone have updated info on where to look for weather or what to expect if I fly into Porto tomorrow and take the train to Porto? It's saying heavy rain with big waves, but I'm wondering whether or not I should wait and come on Saturday? A little concerned I'll get stuck there.

Thanks!

As well as AccuWeather!
The trend looks like showers for the next week, the fetch is from the WSW with moisture feeding in from post topical storm Tammy.
So for what it's worth, it looks like they're expecting heavy rain is in the morning, not all day.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I meant to say I was supposed to take the train to Santiago and then to sarria to begin my Camino. Now trying to decide whether to come at all from the UK.

Thanks

Amigo, it’s only rain. Loads of it for sure but “NFG”, normal for Galicia. I guess it depends on why you were coming in the first place. A nice stroll through the Eucalyptus forests of Galicia or a pilgrimage to the bones of Santiago. The first of those is likely a challenge for the next couple of weeks. The latter is a doddle: just take quality rain wear and embrace what the gods give you

I've been walking this area for the past week. It's been absolutely appalling. You'll need top class rain gear and even then it's not going to be much fun. I'm on my way home now, had enough. I'll come back when the weather's better.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

This is for information only, please don't shoot the messenger. Yesterday I watched a video from the US. They were comparing how El nino effects the weather in the US and in Europe.
Their forecast for this winter in Europe is that the north of Europe will be colder and dryer than normal. Southern Europe, Spain and Portugal will be wetter but warmer than normal.

Agreed. Ive had rain for 10 days. My app shows it’s not going to be dry for some time. I’d come across without rain cover for my backpack and tried to buy one in Decathlon city store in Santiago but they had none due to the weather. Sold out. I’ve been walking up northward again to Santiago since then and was able to buy a cover in Padrón yesterday. Wet wet wet wet
