My wife and I walked the Via Podiensis in 2014, from Le Puy to St. Jean Pied de Port. Beautiful walk with several UNESCO villages along the way. We did it in April/May not a lot of people. Photos are Cahor's famous bridge; and the town of Espalion.

I walked it last June from Le Puy as far as Auvillar. It was spectacular! Yes, there is much information to pour over available on this forum.

IMO the premier route if you like relatively uncrowded but still company at dinner. Keep in mind that English is not widely spoken so you will need to struggle a bit. You MUST make reservations ahead for the gite as they are mostly demi-pension. MiamMiamDoDo is a great resource for places to stay.

Perhaps no "need to struggle". Learn some French.

Fantastic route with generally outstanding (and always much better than the average Camino Frances) food. I thought it was a bit more difficult than the Camino Francis, but not bad. Do reserve a day or two ahead, and do learn a little French. The French are great walkers and make up the overwhelming majority of walkers on the VP. We loved it in 2016.

Someone could please give some comparison of the Podiensis Vs the Tolosana or Vs Lemovicensis ?

I am in particular interested in knowing the % of paved versus unpaved road/trail and accommodation facilities
Some comments also on the historical and architectural site sights that can be found in the 3 ways.

I am very much interested in ancient hostels, churches, sanctuaries, abbeys ...
